I just gave Raphael his eMate http://www.ac-scanmac.dk/apple_museum/message/emate_300.html to play with, and he's happy to have a keyboard to type on or bash at.

Raphael loves books. He'll give me books one after the other to read.

He wants to play with my computer, is eager to look at the screen and pound the keyboard.

He recently tried ice cream, and was very sad when it was finished. He's gotten very good at feeding himself with a spoon.

This year, Raphael and I were both Jack-o-Lanterns for Halloween. Last year, I was a Jack-o-Lantern for Halloween while Raphael was rather large in my tummy.
He entered a gadget costume contest this year, playing with toys like his eMate and 770.

Raphael spends most of his time on his tummy exploring. He makes his best effort to reach anything he can see, eager to investigate and try to eat it. I work to keep him surrounded by interesting baby toys, socks, etc.
He was particularly interested in a bright orange sock of mine when he saw it in in his toybox. He tried hard to reach it, succeeding with the help of his Daddy.
He recently learned to shake rattles, and now eagerly shakes anything that makes a rattling noise.
He now has three soft squishy books (filled with a variety of colors and textures) and spends much time investigating, feeling, shaking, and eating them.
I just started giving him baby cookies, and zwieback. Here's a picture of his attempts to eat zwieback.
A computer science book had been left on the floor; here's one picture of Raphael discovering it.

Today Gopi showed Raphael how to spin the ball on his mirror, and baby was soon spinning that ball intently.
Raphael was amused watching me eat crunchy snacks, and practiced "chewing" for me.
He's been imitating speech for months now, trying to communicate with baby coos, often aided by illustrative gestures. At least once he seemed to try to sing along a lullaby with me.
He's seemed intent at getting to the keyboard to type on it, again probably trying to imitate Mommy and Daddy. He was thrilled to finally get to the keyboard and bashed away at it for quite a while.
